Love Letter from my Depression!

Good morning
remember
me
I prey
on
all
your
insecurities
sitting on
the edge
of your
reality
I wait
patiently
suddenly
I define
who
you are
going to
be
surprise
as you
hold on
to your
sanity
I laugh
at your
instability
watching
you rocking
on the
cliff
of you
rationality
dissociation
your escape
laced with
medication
the numbness
fades
I attack
tick tock
tick tock
alarm bells
trigger
set off
did you
miss me
well
I am
back
black smack
darkness arrives
my favourite
past time
playing
quackery
with your
fragile
mind
unkind
you have
no idea
how cruel
I can
truly be
you belong
to me
I control
your
destiny
I decide
how you
will feel
today
I may
occasionally
give
you a break
but guess
what
sucker
I
AM
here
to stay
I never
fully
go away
just wait
until
a day
such as
today

The Empath

She was
such
a romantic
who wore
empathy
on her sleeve
everyone
she met
would
profoundly
touch
her
soul
as she
traced
the essence
of their
being
she knew
how much
they suffered
and this
hurt her
so
ouch
she could feel
so deeply
that at times
she thought
her little
fragile
heart
would explode
all those
emotions
overwhelming
some days
she
hid
somewhere
between the
painfulness
and
sorrow
there
she would
wait
for the
moment to
pass
so she
can
breath again
then
she rise
up
hug a
tree
talk to
the wind
sing with
the birds
and seek
out rainbows
the colours
between
the
black
and
white
she was
such an idealistic
in a plastic
world
of make
believe
would she
survive
the
underworld
would she
ever see
beauty
as her life
unfolds
she was
a romantic
who wore
her
heart
on her sleeve.

Letting Go!

When others
cannot see
our true value
it means
that they
are blind
to our spark.
When we
are able to see
beyond their
inadequacies
we know the
real
meaning of
unconditional
love
they may
still
be searching
so
let them go
 with loving
 kindness and
compassion
 then
for the
first time
they too
may experience
unconditional
love.

Transformation

This rose
never
bloomed
as she
spent
her entire
life
trying to be
who they
wanted her
to be
they broke
destroyed
moulded
scolded her
until
she lost
sight
her originality
beaten out
until
she lost
her fight
reconstruction
to secure
their insecurities
reformed
to fit
into corrupt
violent
societies
she held
a pretty garden
within
but the acid
rain
toxicity
externality
falling
was internalised
thus poisoning
the flower
of her
soul
until
all
she felt

was a wasteland
darkness
she had began
the long
dark
journey
of the soul
into
the coldest
night
she waited
she sat in
silence
a flicker
in the
distance
shone
less bright
she recognised
fragments
of her self
stardust
a recreation
transformation
truth
knowingly
awakening
her
journey had
finally
began
she wondered
around her
wasteland
an internalised
world
confusion
disillusion
destruction
pain
she found
a space
between
her
self-hate
and disgrace
she discovered
hope
courage
strength
beauty
light
grace
love
a new seed
planted
nurtured
self-acceptance
compassion
loving kindness
a true
representation
new founded
love for self
beyond
egocentricity
death of the
ego
creates humanity
vulnerability
allows for
empathy
a flower
blooms
in the sun
interconnectedness
with the whole
love
for all
we are all
one!

Journey into Nature of Self!

Journey into Nature of Self!
We all
need to die
nature shows us
how beautifully
it can die
by its very
nature
I do not
mean die
as in death
no
we kill
the concept
of self
time and
time
again
each time
we die
we evolve
onto a
higher state
of consciousness
we go
inward
to seek out
a more
authentic self
then
fearful
conditioning
informs
us
that in
order to survive
the ego
must
achieve
we must
do
so we
chase
another
disillusion
of specialness
we attach
to this newly
found
concept
of self
then we suffer
as we
cannot hold
onto the illusion
of our specialness
we chase it
we feed it
we need it
until it
break us
then we die
again
so we
can see
truth
sit  with our
innate
neurosis
the anxiety
of meaninglessness
the fear
on loneliness
the lack
of attachment
we sit
alone
in deep contemplation
and wait
authenticity
arises
we become
one with
the nature of
ourselves
we will
then see
the true essence
of nature
itself
we are one!

Remembrance Day!

Remembrance Day!

I never understood the meaning of war, nor could I comprehend why man would want to inflict such brutality onto his fellow man.
My generation – we are so privileged – we have no true understanding of what our grandparents and great grandparents had to endure!
We do not know what it feels like to be woken up in the middle on the night, taken down to the docks and boarded onto a ship to be sent far away to safety, or face death. Whilst not knowing if we would ever see our families again.
Nor do we understand the fear and dread that must have been evoked every time a siren rang out across dark skies.  Ringing out a warning, take cover or face been blown away. The smell of the gas mask, the suffocation, the lack of air, sat down below the underground or manmade shelters in the garden or under the house. In pure darkness, the only sound was the stale breath entering and leaving the gas mask. The silence interrupted by the noise of war outside.
Bombed houses and building became heaps of rubble, dust and dirt in surrounding neighbourhoods, where the children use to play.  Suddenly, the only game that was played was to hide away in tunnels, terrified of the sharp whistling sounds of bombs falling inches away.
We could not beginning to know what it was like to feel constant starvation, thrown into concentration camps, where the only method of survival was to bravely tolerate humiliation beyond human conception.
No, we could even conceive the experience of the WAR!

Post-WAR was equally as difficult, a country blown to shreds, no home to return to, no supermarkets to buy food, no shops to buy new clothes. No electric, gas or running water in many houses, no fridge to open when hungry called. Nothing but HOPE!
Families would need to make sacrifices to ensure children where fed and warm.
Men returning, broken, body part missing, deaf or blind, more distressingly, holding those memories of the inhuman acts they needed to conduct to save not only themselves, but their families back home.

I am so humbled by the bravely and courage of my forefathers and foremothers and the journey they had to survive.   I am amazed at their resilience, strength, courage, bravery, humanity and love for one another, as a result of the shared experience, an experience that can only be described as HELL ON EARTH…

What saddens me most is that we have not learnt from their experiences and shared stories, even though they horrify us and seem almost unbelievable, can mankind really be so cruel? I am sadden at the waste of human life, as from where I am sitting, the world is still at WAR…..

LEAST WE FORGET.

Truth?

I can no
longer hide
within the
mist of
deception
powerless
as
I watch
the earth
being destroyed
in the name
of progress
we have lost
our
perception
I see
my fellow man
living in
unacceptable conditions
homelessness
is not a choice
and then blame
them for
their misfortune
as we take
away their voice
those in power
turn a
blind eye
as humans
are forced
onto the
streets
how inhuman
can humans
possible be?
we are not
blind
no
we
just
refuse to
see
the broken
put back
together
with cumbersome
quick fix
methods
medication
is not the
way to heal
try asking
these wonderful
souls
just how
do they feel
little brown
bottles
sitting on
the self
these pills
will not give us
back a
sense of self
numbing our
creativity
this is
not who we
choose to be
zombies
wandering around
unaware
desperately hurting
does not one
truly care
what we need
is to be
respected
for our
individualism
human rights
not sectioned
labelled
locked away
silent screams
sleepless
nights
shall we wait
until our fate
turns into
a state of
destruction
realising the lie
the truth
behind
the power
of corruption.
